This qualification will provide you with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as a hairdresser. Throughout this qualification you will ensure responsibility to reduce risks to health and safety, give customers a positive impression, advise and consult with clients, shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp, change hair colour, cut hair using basic techniques, style and finish hair and set and dress hair. You will be supervised by technical staff and assessed on your occupational competence.

The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty
Therapy Treatments is a course that has been specifically designed to develop your practical
beauty therapy skills such as; face and body electrotherapy and body massage.
To further enhance your practical skills, you will have the opportunity to choose from the
following practical units; providing massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils, electrical
epilation, individual permanent lashes, intimate waxing, spray tan and how to apply self-tan
products, and nail enhancements.
Within this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety, client care and communication and you can also choose to learn about IT and data handling and contributing to the effective running of a beauty therapy business. You will also develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification.
The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills as a beauty therapist to enable you to provide beauty therapy treatments. Units in this qualification have been mapped to the relevant NOS (where applicable). This qualification is regulated on the Regulated Qualifications Framework.
This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
Prerequisite
Learners who wish to undertake this qualification must also achieve the VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Beauty Therapy and Nail Services qualification or a regulated equivalent.
This qualification may lead directly into employment in as a senior beauty therapist in a beauty salon or spa or to self-employment as a mobile beauty therapist.

Introduction National Occupational Standards (NOS) The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Salon Management is an advanced qualification that has been specifically designed for existing or aspiring salon managers. Throughout this qualification you will plan the management of products and services for your salon by; analysing data for planning purposes, set operational objectives, monitor working practices, evaluate stock control and equipment levels and provide recommendations to increase salon revenue. You will research, monitor and recommend improvements to ensure the health, safety and security, the quality of client care and management of sales for your salon. From the optional unit section of this qualification you have the opportunity to select an area of study which is most relevant to your business needs.
This could be; the interesting area of research into the latest products and techniques, public relations (PR), IT and data handling, human resources, salon design and marketing for the hair and beauty sector. Alternatively, you may wish to develop your advanced technical skills in, for example, hair colour correction, micro dermabrasion or laser and light treatments.
This qualification is suitable for hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists and nail technicians. Units in this qualification have been mapped to the relevant NOS (where applicable).

Introduction National Occupational Standards (NOS) The Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy (QCF) is a vocationally related qualification that is focused on advanced beauty practices for reducing hair growth using intense light and laser treatments and skin rejuvenation using intense light and microdermabrasion. You will also develop an understanding of product chemistry, the physiology of ageing and the principles of dermatology and microbiology.
This qualification also covers salon management, with the opportunity to learn about management functions such as PR, marketing, and research. You will be assessed on your occupational competence.
